To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses as the e-mail notification system is unreliable. It may take several days, perhaps less, to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.įrom this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Now that you have posted a log here: you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. i just started college, and now that this problem happened, its really hard for me to get most of my work done since the only way i can get on the internet is by being wired.Įdited by garcia2100, 04 September 2009 - 09:51 PM. Please help, I really don't have time to be dealing with problems now. the solution only works for a day or so, and then I'm back to the original problem. So like i said, i have to do a hard reset on the router, and set everything up all over again from new. i used AVG free, and spybot search and destroy.Īll the password changes, the wireless pass phrase, and the admin password when i try to get into the routerlogin screen. I ran an anti virus, software yesterday, but it didn't find anything. I may have a rootkit like he had, but i don't know exactly what it is. I searched your forums and found that this guy had the same problem as me: And i changed it to WPA2, thinking it'll be a difference, but it didn't. Ive tried the other security type first, its what i had originally. On the 6th attempt at the password it appears as if it is going to work. But after a couple of hours, or a day, the password changes, and i cant get on the wireless network. Login changed from PIN to password, No option to change back to PIN in User Accounts and Family Safety A Window update today has locked me out of Windows 10. I then have to reconfigure everything, and type in a new password and everything. The only way i can get it to work again is by resetting the router by hitting the reset button in the back of the router. Ive contacted netgear support but they are worthless, so maybe you guys can help me. Recently, starting about 5 days ago, the passwrod changes all the time. I have a Netgear WG614v7 wireless router.
